1. Data Controller
For the purposes of the GDPR, the data controller for anbagusvitechnologies.com and the RideOn mobile app is:
Anbagusvi Technologies
Email: info@anbagusvitechnologies.com
Given the limited scale and local-first, non-server-based nature of our processing (see our Privacy Policy), we have not appointed a dedicated Data Protection Officer. Privacy inquiries should be directed to the email address above.
2. Legal Basis for Processing
Where we do process personal data, we rely on the following legal bases under Article 6 GDPR:
- Consent — for optional device permissions (Bluetooth, Location, Notifications) that you grant directly through your device's operating system, and for information you voluntarily submit via our contact form or email.
- Performance of a contract — processing that is necessary to provide the core App functionality you request, such as pairing with and authenticating your vehicle module.
- Legitimate interests — responding to inquiries, maintaining the security of the pairing/authentication process, and keeping the Website and App functioning correctly.
3. What We Process
As detailed in our Privacy Policy, this is limited to: Bluetooth device identifiers, signal strength (RSSI) readings, your App-set password/master key, App preferences (all stored locally on your device), and any information you choose to send us via the contact form or email. We do not operate user accounts, and the majority of this data never reaches our servers because we do not run one for App data.
4. Your Rights Under GDPR
If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — request confirmation of, and access to, personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") — request deletion of your personal data, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability — request a copy of data you provided us, in a structured, commonly used format.
- Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent (e.g. device permissions), withdraw it at any time via your device settings, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
5. Exercising Your Rights
Because most App data is stored locally on your device rather than on our servers, many of these rights can be exercised directly and immediately:
- Use the App's Forget Device feature to erase locally stored pairing data.
- Revoke Bluetooth, Location, or Notification permissions at any time in your device's Settings app.
- Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored App data from your device.
For anything not resolvable on-device — such as correspondence you've sent us by email or through the contact form — email info@anbagusvitechnologies.com with your request. We will respond within one month, as required by Article 12(3) GDPR, and may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity first.
6. International Transfers
Because App data is stored locally on your device rather than transmitted to and stored on our servers, there is generally no cross-border transfer of that data by us. Where you contact us by email, your message is handled through standard email infrastructure, which may involve processing outside your country of residence; we take reasonable steps to ensure any such handling is subject to appropriate safeguards.
7. Data Retention
Locally stored App data persists on your device until you remove it (via "Forget Device," clearing app storage, or uninstalling). Email correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to address your inquiry and comply with any applicable legal obligations, after which it is deleted.
8. Automated Decision-Making
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you, as defined under Article 22 GDPR.
9. Lodging a Complaint
If you believe we have not handled your personal data in accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. We would also appreciate the chance to address your concern directly first — please reach out to us using the contact details below.
